Who is PAL?
Portsmouth Animal Liberation (PAL) is a volunteer-based organisation made up of people who care deeply about the rights of animals.
Its members employ many methods to fight the battle against animal abuse and will never stop until these unconchenable acts end.
We are all vegans and advocate for a world where the word "vegan" is not necessary and it is normal for people to not just say that they care about animals, but live a lifestyle in accordance with that.
As an organisation within the animal rights movement, we at PAL reject all forms of oppression and injustice. We recognise the interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, gender, or sexual orientation, the link between human and non-human oppression, and how the oppression of one group compounds that of the other within overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage.
As such, we reject and oppose any form of activism that operates in a way that is anything other than supportive and respectful of the rights of all individuals.
We treat bullying, harassment and victimisation, whether that is fuelled by racism, sexism, heterosexism, any other form of prejudice, or any other reason, as unacceptable. Any such behaviour displayed at a PAL event, be it activism, discussion groups or learning events, will not be tolerated.
